| | Battling for the Halas TrophyJanuary 18, 2011 - Terri CastelazDoes it get any more exciting than this — Bears and Packers battling it out Sunday for the George Halas Trophy and a trip to the Super Bowl. With their 35-24 win over Seattle at Soldier Field, the Bears now face their division rivals. This is only the second time the two have met in the post season since 1941 and I am hoping for the same outcome. The Bears won that game 33-14 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. My three wishes for Sunday’s game: 1. The Bears defense to take care of business, including a “big hit” from Julius Peppers. The kind of hit that will alter the mental state of Aaron Rodgers. (Sorry Aaron!) 2. Jay Cutler to keep playing the way he did last week. Namely, keeping out of the Packers hands. No interceptions, please. 3. Last, but not least, seeing Devon Hester run at least one return in for a touchdown. You have to admit he’s one of the most explosive players in the NFL. Not sure what will hurt worse Sunday if the Packers do win, not seeing the Bears in the Super Bowl or the Packers receiving the George Halas Trophy in Soldier Field.
