| | Welcoming home the PackersFebruary 9, 2011 - Lisa ReedMy husband and I were among the 56,000 fans that welcomed home the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field during “Return to Titletown” on Tuesday. With temperatures around 9 degrees with a windchill of 8 below zero, it sure was a cold day, but we made a day of it, just like thousands of other Packers fans did. We arrived around noon to check out the Packers Pro Shop for Packers Super Bowl memorabilia. Pat got the XLV hat and I got some Packers items for my desk at work. Then we waited about an hour to get seated in the dining room at Curly’s Pub. Once we were seated we were able to watch several Packers fans take their picture with Aaron Rodgers red camaro that was parked in front of the stadium for that purpose. We also got to see some Packers players drive into Lambeau before the big celebration. Our food was very good, but expensive! Being at the stadium with more than 50,000 fans to welcome the Packers home with the Lombardi trophy was exciting. It was also very interesting to see everyone dressed in green and gold supporting their team. Hopefully the Packers can live up to their goal and win the Super Bowl again next year.
