| | Keys to successMay 15, 2011 - Burt AngeliThe Appleton, Wis., area has turned out some dynasties in a variety of sports. For example, Neenah has played in the boys state tennis tournament 25 times, with nine titles. Kaukauna stands out in boys volleyball with 17 state appearances and eight crowns. There’s many more in both girls and boys sports. The Post-Cresent of Appleton listed the keys to success: — Must have a strong youth feeder program. — Players must take part in an off-season program. — Coaching staff must be on the same page. — Families must be willing to support their student-athletes. — Athletes must want to be a part of the program. — There must be good team chemistry. — The community must buy into the program. | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
