| | Not all cats stay outsideMay 27, 2011 - Lisa ReedThis goes out to all the people who are against cats going outside ever. I own an indoor/outdoor cat. When I first got him, I didn’t let him go outside. That is when I lived in the city. Then I moved to the country. My cat was never going to be an outside cat, but he goes outside now. This is because my husband introduced him to the “great outdoors.” One of his first times outside, Zo got chased up a tree by one of our hunting dogs. Pat had to climb up the tree and get him down. It was a few days before Zo ventured back outside. But now Zo goes outside in the warmer months and always comes back home. I don’t know if it is because he is declawed and neutered or if he just has a really good home life. We live in the country and Zo doesn’t leave the yard or go near the road. And I always make sure he wears a flea collar and I brush him often. I am not against cats going outside as long the owner takes precautions to assure they come back and do not overpopulate the community. | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
