End of summer

The summer is ending. According to the calendar, autumn doesn’t officially begin until Friday, Sept. 23. But Labor Day marks the end of summer festivities. As sad as I am that summer is ending, I am glad September is here. I enjoy the fall season, maybe even more than summer. I like the cooler mornings and evenings with sunny skies and warm temperatures during the day. Fall is the time to harvest the garden, pick apples, pumpkins, and squash as well as watch the colors of the leaves change and prepare for winter. Let’s hope the warm weather continues and it doesn’t snow too early.
