| | Packers kickoff and ObamaSeptember 7, 2011 - Lisa ReedNow here is a kicker. President Obama will make a speech about the economy and jobs during the NFL kickoff game of the Green Bay Packers v. the New Orleans Saints on Thursday night. The timing of this speech could not be worse. I normally watch the President’s speeches, but because I will be at the big kickoff concert in Green Bay, the last thing on my mind will be his speech. Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum and Maroon 5 will be rocking the stage. Personally, the return of football in Wisconsin is more popular than what our current President has to say. It isn’t like the speech couldn’t have been broadcast on a different day. Whose great idea was this? By the way, I am sure he isn’t going to say anything of importance. It will be the same old, same old speech that he has given in the past two years. Even for people that do not like football, I am sure they would rather watch the kickoff concert/game on TV than the President’s speech. I bet the speech gets really low ratings. And the concert/game will have much higher ratings. Just a hunch. | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
