Lupica on Favre

October 9, 2011 - Burt Angeli
Mike Lupica of New York Daily News seems to have a handle on Brett Favre’s remarks about Aaron Rodgers and the Packers:

“Brett Favre says he's surprised it took Aaron Rodgers this long to win a Super Bowl and then Favre acts surprised that people noticed.

You know what somebody needs to ask Favre?

How come he didn't win more than one Super Bowl?

And how come he made so many dumb throws in big moments, all the way until his last dumb throw in his last chance to make the Super Bowl (with the Vikings), against the Saints?

And, by the way, why he performed so dreadfully at home in that NFC Championship Game against the Giants, in Lambeau Field?

Somehow, even in retirement, Favre still gets treated like he should be the world's most interesting man in a beer commercial.”
