FactCheck score: Romney 9, DNC 6

Newt Gingrich seems to be the flavor of the week, but I’m still guessing that Mitt Romney winds up winning the Republican presidential nomination.

The Democratic National Committee, perhaps making the same guess, is already launching an effort to brand Romney as a say-anything-to-get-elected flip-flopper.

There's much evidence of that, yes.

However, according to FactCheck.org, a lengthy Web video released by the DNC includes some distortions about Romney’s record.

FactCheck looked at all 15 issues raised in the DNC’s Romney video and concluded the following:

“We found four flip-flops, one flip-flop-flip, one half-flip — and nine times when the DNC wrongly accused Romney of flip-flopping.”
