Legendary coach 'treated people fairly'

Henry Bibby, who played on three NCAA championship basketball teams at UCLA, was asked by Charley Walters of the Saint Paul Pioneer Press what made John Wooden such a great coach?

"He was a good person, and good things happen to good people," Bibby said. "He always treated people fairly. He was a great coach who taught fundamentals, something that's not taught this day and time. Little things.

"He never beat you up. Some coaches want to beat you up. He was more like a dad."
