Big Ten college football teams ranked

Four Big Ten teams made the pre-season college football rankings by Denis Dodd of CBSsports.com.

While LSU and USC grabbed the top two spots, Dodd listed Wisconsin at No. 6, Ohio State at No. 8, Michigan at No. 13 and Michigan State at No. 18.

Dodd wrote that running back Montee Ball will be ”well protected,” as “Wisconsin reloads with offensive linemen quicker than Lady Gaga changes outfits.”

Dodd credited Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi for “Alabama Jr. in 2011.”

“We'll know about the Spartans early when they lead off against Boise State, go to Central Michigan, then host Notre Dame,” Dodd said.
