| | Stan sticks with starting track meetsApril 17, 2012 - Burt AngeliStan Jesky, a former Florence athletic director and coach, continues to be a starter for high school track meets. Jesky, a track official for 25 years, lives in Grand Rapids, Mich. He also filled that role at Florence. “We got him started with junior varsity meets and the last four years he’s built up to be one of the top starters in the area for high school meets,” MHSAA track meet manager Lew Clingman told Cory Olsen of mlive.com. Stan says he’s “been around kids for 47 years.” “I love this because I’ve been doing it for a long time,” he said. Jesky, men’s basketball coach at Kuyper College, took his team to the NCCAA regional finals at Northland International University this past season. The Cougars wound up with 19 wins in 2011-2012. “Hopefully, we can get to the nationals and win the thing,” he said. | in: News, Blogs & Events Web |
