Google defines you

May 7, 2012 - Nikki Younk
I really despise keeping up this blog. I've written about my feelings on the subject before — it's hard to come up with fresh ideas, it's hard to imagine people actually enjoying my random ramblings, and it's hard to waste time on such an inane activity when there are so many other tasks I could be completing.

I have since added one more complaint to the list. Google.

Everyone knows about Googling themselves, right? You type in your name and you see what the internet has to say about you. When I type in my name, I expect to see my Daily News articles. I'm proud of (most of) them. They're kind of like a resume.

Well, Google has decided to play a little trick on me. Instead of displaying my articles first, it displays my blog entries. My foolish little blog entries. Ugh. I'll forever be known as the weird girl who likes cats, Japan, and Pi Day.

Let this be a lesson to all bloggers out there. Google defines you, whether you want it to or not.
