Amberg crash update

MARINETTE, Wis. — The Marinette County Sheriff Department reports that at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday, a serious crash was reported on U.S. 141 and State Quarry Road in the town of Amberg.
Deputy Dan Beauchamp, while enroute to the crash, lost control of his squad car on Blueberry Point Road in the town of Dunbar and struck a utility pole and tree. Deputy Beauchamp was transported to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and released with minor injuries.
Marinette County deputies arrived at the scene of the U.S. 141 and State Quarry Road crash. A preliminary investigation indicates that a southbound vehicle, a Chevrolet Camaro, with three males, struck a northbound vehicle with two subjects, who were pulling a boat.
The three males in the southbound vehicle were taken to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital with critical and serious injuries, said Chief Deputy Jerry Sauve. The two subjects in the northbound vehicle were transported to Bay Area Medical Center for non-capacitating injuries.
Wisconsin State Patrol was called to investigate the crash involving Deputy Beauchamp.
The U.S. 141 and State Quarry Road accident is being investigated by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Department.
Also assisting at the accidents were Pembine Fire and Rescue, Goodman Rescue, Amberg Fire Department, Wausaukee Rescue Squad, Beacon Ambulance from Dickinson Memorial and the Marinette Auxiliary, who re-routed traffic.
