IRON MOUNTAIN - Bonnie Faye LaRock,46, of Iron Mountain, died Thursday, June 26, 2008, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 22, 1961, in Stambaugh, daughter of Billy Clement and Beatrice Jane (Anderson) Rivard. After attending West Iron County High School, she went on to receive her associate's degree in business from Bay de Noc Community College. She recently worked at "Step Ahead" in Iron Mountain.

Bonnie married Stewart LaRock at the chapel at the Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain on Jan. 8, 2005. She has been a resident of Iron Mountain for nearly 30 years, moving here from Caspian.

Bonnie was very family oriented. She loved more than anything spending time with family, especially at the family owned island on Paint Lake. She also loved her annual trip Christmas shopping with the girls. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Bonnie was very patriotic, and especially supportive of her husband's service to his country in the National Guard.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Stewart of Iron Mountain; her parents, Billy and Beatrice Rivard; her children, Derrick Smith of Iron Mountain and Brandon (Karena) Smith of Houston and Jessica Way of Escanaba; grandchildren Bella and Madeline; stepdaughter, Lori LaRock of Iron Mountain; brothers, Mark (Terry) Rivard of Gaastra, William (Patty) Rivard of Caspian, and Blaine (Carol) Rivard of Gaastra; sister, Arbutus "Bootsy" (Neil) Tappa of Coleman, Wis.; mother-in-law, Kathy LaRock of Iron Mountain; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike (Carri) LaRock of Iron Mountain and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Godfrey and Clara Anderson, and William and Mabel Rivard, and her father-in-law, Robert LaRock.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. David Anderson will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory.
