MARINETTE, Wis. - The names and conditions of six people injured in a two- vehicle crash in the town of Niagara, Wis. on Thursday afternoon have been released.
Officials from the Marinette County Sheriff's Department reported that at approximately 2:30 p.m., a sports utility vehicle operated by 21-year-old Amy Johnson of Lombard, Ill. was southbound on U.S. 141 when it collided with a vehicle driven by Jason Kallenbach, 22, of Niagara.
Kallenbach was stopped at the intersection of Wishman Road and U.S. 141 when he pulled out in front of Johnson's vehicle, officials said.
As a result of the collision, Johnson's vehicle flipped over several times and landed in the ditch on the west side of the road. Two passengers in her vehicle, 19-year-old Rebecca Johnson of Lombard, Ill. and 19-year-old Thadius Bieniek of West Chicago, were ejected.
Two additional passengers in the Johnson vehicle, James Foote, 19, of Chicago and Brittney Fricke, 21, of Lombard, Ill., were also injured in the crash, according to the police report.
All six people were transported by ambulance to Dickinson County Hospital for treatment of injuries. Kallenbach, Amy Johnson, Foote and Fricke were all treated and released.
Bieniek was admitted and subsequently discharged, and Rebecca Johnson was transferred.
Kallenbach was cited for suspected inattentive driving and failure to yield the right of way, causing great bodily harm, authorities said.
Additionally, the crash caused a rock to break the window of a third vehicle operated by Bridgett Burns of Louisville, Ky. that was northbound on U.S. 141 at the time of the collision.
