TV give-away contest begins
By LISA M. HOFFMANN, Staff WriterIRON MOUNTAIN - The Daily News and Peterson Electric have partnered again to give away 32-inch LG brand wide screen high definition LCD television to one lucky reader just in time for the Super Bowl.
The 32-inch widescreen high definition LCD TV is worth $800.
"We ran this promotion last year and readers absolutely loved it, so we decided to do it again," said Circulation Director Becky Rose.
A drawing will be held Jan. 29, 2009. Participants can enter as often as they wish.
Official entry forms can be found inside The Daily News. To enter, clip the The Daily News and Peterson Electric widescreen TV giveaway entry form found in The Daily News. The coupon will be published regularly in The Daily News throughout the contest period. The contest period runs through Jan. 27, 2009.
Just drop off or mail the completed entry form to: The Daily News, P.O. Box 460, 215 E. Ludington St., Iron Mountain, Mich. 49801 or Peterson Electric, 615 Main St., Norway, Mich., 49870.
Bonus entry forms can be obtained by starting a new six-day subscription to The Daily News, or by renewing an existing six-day home delivery subscription. Just include a note requesting to be entered when mailing or e-mailing the subscription payment.
Entries will be filed on contestants' behalf, according to the following Bonus Schedule:
- 13 Bonus Chances with a 13 week subscription or renewal.
- 30 Bonus Chances with a 26 week subscription or renewal.
- 65 Bonus Chances with a 52 week subscription or renewal.
Ten names will be selected each week at random from all eligible entries to advance as semi-finalists.
Semi-finalists will be published each Saturday in The Daily News beginning Saturday, Oct. 11.
On Jan. 29 at 3 p.m., one lucky winner will be selected at random to receive the 32-inch television.
This contest also ran in November of last year. There is no purchase necessary, although there is a limit of one per person per day. For more information, call The Daily News at 774-2772 in Iron Mountain or 265-4210 in Iron River.

You are able to mail it in. That is if you buy the paper. The address is printed above if you read the article you would see that.

If it were online, you would need the computer and the internet service. If it were a mail in coupon, there would be postage. Telepathy, now that's the way to get things done.

no purchase is necessary, but you still have to purchase the paper to get the coupon, and you have to buy gas to drop it off, since you cannot mail it...seems as though the gas stations, paper have something to gain in this sham...do it online or at least allow mail in coupons available for free...contradictory if you ask me
