Sagola hunter drowns

NEGAUNEE - A Sagola man drown while duck hunting on Pike's Pond in Marquette County's Ishpeming Township on Saturday.
State Police from the Negaunee Post identified the victim as 22-year-old Cody Lee Shirkey.

I am sickened by PaulaB's comment! People wonder why our world is crazy!! It is because of ignorant people like that!!!! I do not know the family of this young man but my thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you! God Bless you all.

Unbelieveable that a young life was lost..with all the hurt and sorrow that has surrounded his family and friends, someone will still say something so wrong. Something like this can happen to anyone. I am saddened by this death. A good friend of mine was engaged to him and it is a horrible thing that happened. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Cody.
