IC board to meet
during January
CRYSTAL FALLS - The Iron County Board of Commissioners will hold regular meetings at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13 and Tuesday, Jan. 27.
All meetings will be held in the Commissioner's Meeting Room in the Iron County Courthouse in Crystal Falls.
Pembine financial
aid night Jan. 14
PEMBINE - The Beecher-Dunbar-Pembine School District will be hosting a Senior Parent Financial Aid Information Night on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 4 p.m. in the Library Media Center for all local seniors and their parents.
A second session will also be provided at 6 p.m. at Goodman Schools.
Students from other districts are welcome to attend.
Sharon Hunter, a financial aid advisor from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), will present the program on the financial aid process and filling out the Federal Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) form. She will be available after the presentation to answer individual questions as well.

Armory retirees
to meet Jan. 13
KINGSFORD - The next regular meeting of the Kingsford Armory Retiree's will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Kingsford Armory.
Right to Life
walk on Jan. 18
IRON MOUNTAIN - There will be a Memorial Walk on Sunday, Jan. 18 beginning at 1:30 p.m. from Kingsley North parking lot on B Street in Iron Mountain.
Those participating are asked to gather in the parking lot around 1:15 p.m.
The walk will go from the parking lot to the Courthouse and then along Stephenson Avenue to Hardees. There will be a bus for those who desire a ride from Hardees to Kingsley North after the walk.
More than 50 million individuals have lost their lives through abortion since 1973. The walk is a tribute and a memorial to their lives and is sponsored by the Dickinson County Right to Life.

Bake sales in
Niagara Saturday
NIAGARA, Wis. - There will be a bake sale on Saturday, Jan. 10 for the Niagara Elementary School's Mini Majorettes from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the First National Bank of Niagara.
There will also be a bake sale for the Niagara Middle School's Junior Majorettes at the Forward Financial Credit Union in Niagara from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Any bake good left over will be on sale at Marcouillier's from 12:30 p.m. until everything is sold.
Please help support the local young girls. All proceeds will go for uniforms for their upcoming performances on Feb. 5-6.
WIC High School
sets exam schedule
IRON RIVER - West Iron County High School will hold exams from Tuesday, Jan. 13 through Friday, Jan. 16.
On Tuesday, the first period exam will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and the second period exam will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
On Wednesday, the third period exam will be from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and the fourth period exam will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
On Thursday, the fifth period exam will be held from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and the sixth period exam will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
The seventh period exam will be held on Friday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. School will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m. and busing will be available at that time.
Pizza and salad bar will be available Tuesday through Thursday from 11:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at regular hot lunch prices. Regular busing will be available at 2:45 p.m. on these days.
If a two hour delay is called during exam week, exams will start at 10 a.m. If there is a cancellation, please tune in to the WIKB radio station for an update.
