FLORENCE, Wis. - LaRayne Angelina Throm, 83, 617 Quinnesec St. in Florence, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
She was woman of great care for her family and others who dedicated her life to the community through charity, religious education of children, and care for the elderly. Her dedication to others lasted even up to the last moments of her life.
She was born the youngest child to the late Frank Nicolette and Rachel DeMarco on Nov.19, 1925, in Florence.
She was married for more than 25 years to the late Elmer R. Throm of Glidden, Wis.
Survivors include four sons, Richard (Jean) Throm of Quinnesec, Dan (Cindy) Throm and Mark Throm, both of Florence, and Michael (Deborah) Throm of Chapel Hill, N.C.; a brother, Ernie (Phyllis) Nicolette of Oconomowoc, Wis.; a sister, Helen (Frank) Meagher of Palm Dessert, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Verdilla Nacius of Long Lake, Wis. and Barbara Nicolette of Woodruff, Wis. She is also blessed to be survived by many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who live throughout the country.
Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church of Florence.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery of Commonwealth, Wis.
