FOSTER CITY - Robert J. Milligan, 82, of Foster City, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at the Golden Living Center in Florence.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1926, in Iron Mountain, the son of the late Patrick and Blanche (LaBranche) Milligan.

Robert was a janitor at North Dickinson Schools for several years.

He married Alice Schinderle on Oct. 14, 1973, at St. Barbara Catholic Church in Vulcan. She preceded him in death on July 30, 2001.

Bob was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

He is survived by two brothers, Patrick (Janice) Milligan of Foster City and James (Anna) Milligan of Norway; three sisters, Faye (Anthony) Bartoszek of Kansas City, Kan., Phyllis (Marshall) Kesler of Iron Mountain and Janet Skibo of Crystal Falls; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Foster City.

Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the church. Fr. Richard Mroz will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.

Burial will be in the Foster City Cemetery.
