SHAWANO, Wis. - Patricia A. Peterson, 79, formerly of Oak Harbor, Wash., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, in Shawano.

She was born on May 29, 1930, in Bessemer.

She was the daughter of the late John and Eva (Trevarthen) Harrington.

On Dec. 20, 1951, she was united in marriage to Lloyd Peterson in Milwaukee. The Petersons were relocating to Shawano to be closer to their family.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Peterson of Shawano; children, Patrice Campbell, of Denver, Colo., Janet Christian of Aurora, Wis., Michael (Jane) Peterson of Shawano, Laurie (Capt. Aaron) Cudnohufsky, U.S. Navy of Hawaii; grandchildren, David (Claire) Rosen, Michelle, Chad, Josh Christian, Amanda Chellew, Toby Nichols, Levi, Pete Peterson, Rachel, Sam Reynolds, Shawn, Corry, and Tyler Cudnohufsky; great-grandchildren, Megan, Leah, Samuel Rosen, Cloe Peterson, Victoria Grossmann, and Kayllab Chellew.

Patricia was preceded in death by a brother in infancy and a sister, Lorraine Johnson.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
