Lorayne Beauchamp
IRON MOUNTAIN - Lorayne Beauchamp, 83, of 1224 Lakeside Drive in Iron Mountain, died Thursday, July 23, 2009, at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford.
She was born May 29, 1926, in Iron Mountain and was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1944, and also graduated from Dundon's Business College.
Lorayne married Edward Beauchamp on Oct. 9, 1948, in Far Hills, N.J. She was employed for 38 years as the office manager at the DNR office in Norway.
Lorayne loved the outdoors including hunting and snowmobiling. She also enjoyed many years of square dancing with her husband and loved gardening.
Lorayne is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward Beauchamp; many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Cheryl McKay of Oldsmar, Fla.; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Msgr. James Kaczmarek will offer the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in the Dickinson County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Dave and Sean McKay, Paul and Peter Lundy, Don and Dick Ring, and Steve Bishop.
A reception and time of fellowship will be held in the Sharing Room at the Immaculate Conception Church following the graveside services.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by two sisters, Betty Lachenauer and Donna Doehr.
