‘Alice in Wonderland’ July 28-31
IRON MOUNTAIN - One Community Through the Arts will present "Alice in Wonderland" July 28-31, at the Performing Arts Center in Iron Mountain. Curtain time is 7 p.m.
The production is a combination of One Community Through the Arts' Young People's Community Theatre and summer theatre classes in partnership with Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Schools.
This is a show that brings together all of Louis Carroll's delightful characters while spinning the tale of fun and adventure.
Sarah Girard and Molly Malone are featured in the titled roll of Alice with Charlie Smith as the White Rabbit. Rory Sade, Hannah Hayes, Martha Nord make up the mad tea party, while Andra Johnson and Alexandria Dobson encourage Alice as Tweedledee and Tweedledum as she faces Allison Healy as the Red Queen. "The cast includes children from the tri-county area ranging in ages from eight to 16 and promises to be an evening of Wonderland entertainment," said project director Duane Peck.
"We have been fortunate in securing the talents of John Henely and Jean Johnson. John composed original music and works as musical director," Peck adds.
This project is partially funded through the Dickinson Area Community Foundation.
Peck is being assisted by board members, Jeff Helgren, Linda Vankirk, Melissa Maki and Corey Cain.
Admission is $5. Tickets are available at the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Community Schools office, Dickinson Area Partnership, cast members or by calling (906) 542-6571. Tickets are also available at the door.
