Thomas Kujala

QUINNESEC - Thomas J. Kujala, 41, of Quinnesec, died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 26, 2009.

He was born Oct. 26, 1967, in Iron Mountain. He graduated from Kingsford High School in 1985, and has been a lifelong resident of this area.

Tom was baptized and confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church in Quinnesec. He was an extremely talented handy man. Tom could build or repair just about anything. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic and always enjoyed maintaining and repairing his father's semi truck. Tom was also an excellent landscaper and remodeler.

He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Conrad and Pamela Kujala of Quinnesec; his sisters, Barbara Stafford of Jacksonville, Fla., Karen (Steven) Chartier of Kingsford and Susie (Daniel) Tracy of Breitung Township; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Jay Duhon) Chartier, Kevin (Tara Kinsella) Chartier, Katie (Colin Morton) Chartier, Robert (Jennifer Blanchette) Tracy, and Jonathan and Joseph Tracy; and great-niece, Alexis Duhon.

Tom was close to his nieces and nephews and was very proud of their many accomplishments.

Graveside services will be held for family and friends on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Quinnesec Cemetery. Rev. Stephen Cowen will officiate.
