Trojans trounce Wykons
CRYSTAL FALLS - Forest Park made short work of West Iron County, rolling to a 3-0 ( 25-19, 25-9, 25-5) volleyball decision here Tuesday.
"We played well," said Trojans coach Kim Bjork. "We really picked up the pace in the second and third games. We covered the floor well and did a great job running our offense.
"The girls did a great job."
Tanner Bartczak has moved up to the varsity for the remainder of the season.
"Tanner will help us at the middle block position," Bjork said. "She did an outstanding job at the net.
"Everyone was more aggressive at the net and our back row did a great job passing overall."
Trojan jayvees defeated the Wykons 2-0.
On Thursday, Forest Park (17-2-6 overall, 6-0 Skyline Conference) hosts Carney-Nadeau while West Iron County entertains L'Anse and Northland Pines.
