IRONWOOD - Forest Park will take on Wakefield-Marinesco in a Class D District 128 volleyball semifinal at Gogebic Community College Thursday at 5 p.m.

Trojans eliminated Ewen-Trout Creek 25-10, 25-13, 25-16 here Tuesday evening to open the tournament.

"It was a good win," Trojans head coach Kim Bjork. "We were able to run a lot of plays offensively. Everyone was able to see some action on the floor, and everyone played well."

Forest Park (25-3-6) served 11 aces in the match.

Elsewhere Tuesday in Class D district volleyball, Superior Central blanked North Central 3-0 and Watersmeet swept Bessemer 3-0.
