ESCANABA - Reviews are starting to arrive on a book written by Escanaba native Bob McGinn.

McGinn wrote "The Ultimate Super Bowl Book" over the past four years, an analytical and historical record of perhaps the greatest single-day sports event in America.

The Library Journal said the book is "essential for all football lovers."

McGinn, a 1970 Escanaba Holy Name and 1974 University of Michigan graduate, was inducted into the U.P. Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. He is the Green Bay Packers' beat writer for the Milwaukee JournalSentinel.

The book retails for $20. McGinn will be at the Hitch N Post in Aurora, Wis., at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, to autograph the 382-page softcover book. McGinn will also take questions at the session.

"Wisconsin sportswriter McGinn is widely hailed as perhaps the best football beat man in the business," Library Journal said. "His analytic study of game replays and his intelligent interviewing enable him to write knowledgeably about the inside game."
