Swine flu shots for veterans

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Oscar G. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center has expanded the H1N1 flu vaccine eligibility to all its veteran patients.

Vaccinations will be available at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center and the following community-based outreach clinics: Marquette, Hancock, Ironwood, Menominee, Sault Ste. Marie and Manistique.

Vaccinations will be given from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday (except Manistique the H1N1 vaccine will be given Tuesday through Thursday at the same times) until supplies are depleted.

All enrolled veterans are encouraged to come and receive their flu shot; no appointment is necessary.

The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center Flu Hotline is available at 1-800-215-8262 to provide veterans with current information about the H1N1 vaccine.
