Musky club to meet Sunday

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Boundary Waters Musky Club will hold its monthly membership meeting at 3 p.m. Sunday at the America's Best Inn of Iron Mountain.

Agenda will include the finalization of plans for the upcoming annual meeting and banquet to be held on Feb. 20 at the America's Best Inn of Iron Mountain.

Bow season buck

Twelve-year-old Ethan Metras of Iron Mountain got this six-pointer on Dec. 30, with just two days remaining in the archery season. He was hunting in the Merriman area.

Ice angler

Nine-year-old Dylan Sheffler, a Forest Park student, recently landed this 35-inch, 11-pound northern pike.

Sportsmen's supper Feb. 13 in IM

IRON MOUNTAIN - A Sportsmen's Seminar and Supper will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 3 p.m. at the Iron Mountain Central Middle School Cafeteria.

There is no charge for the family event, sponsored by Family Baptist Church of Kingsford. A free will offering is appreciated.

Ross Crowe, senior captain of Northern Memories Guide Service in Voyageurs National Park on Rainey Lake, will be among the presenters.

An archery range will be available. Dinner is at 5 p.m. with a general session to follow. Door prizes are being donated by various businesses.
