Niagara man hosts hunting show on the Pursuit Channel

IRON MOUNTAIN "Livin' the Hunt TV" will debut nationally on Wednesday, June 30, on the Pursuit Channel.

Niagara resident Shane Ellison of Anderson, Tackman & Co. is executive director and host.

Ellison started the show back in March 2009 with the idea of providing an opportunity for the average sportsman to be able to go on a free hunt of a lifetime and have their hunt filmed.

"Most of us average sportsman understand that hunting is all about camaraderie, friendship, traditions and the memories we make," Ellison said.

With that in mind, he wanted to create a show that gets back to basics.

Early in the spring of 2009, Cody Worley joined the team as field producer. Worley was a field producer for five years for Mossy Oak Productions, one of the largest outdoor media companies in the industry.

Individuals may visit www.livinthehunt.com to apply for a hunt. Livin' The Hunt then randomly selects a member to join them on hunts all over the U.S. and Canada.

A member of Livin' The Hunt will join Ellison and his team on every hunt, have a cameraman over their shoulder and possibly be on national TV.

During 2010, more than 21 members will join Ellison and his team chasing anything from turkeys to bear to the elusive whitetail deer.

"Our slogan, 'This is your hunt,' says it all," said Ellison.

Air times are listed at www.livinthehunt.com.
