Hunter education offered in Florence

FLORENCE, Wis. - Young people interested in hunting and recreational shooting are invited to enroll in the Wisconsin Hunter Education Course, which begins Monday, Aug. 16, at the Florence Natural Resources Center in the lower conference room.

The course will be taught by Wisconsin-certified hunter education instructors.

Class nights will be Monday and Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The class is limited to 30 students.

If interested, please call Lois Weber for advance registration or information at the Florence office of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, (715)-528-4400, ext. 104.

A course fee of $10 will cover all materials.

On Monday, Aug. 9, at 6 p.m. at the center, parents or guardians must come in with the student to pick up books and sign papers and pay the course fee.
