IRON?MOUNTAIN?-The Tourism Association of the Dickinson County Area will host its sixth annual "Menominee River" Bass Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 10.
In 2009, 39 teams competed for cash and prizes on the Badwater Section of the Menominee River.
"There is a 50-boat limit, so get your entry in soon to secure your spot as the registration deadline is Sept. 4," said Chris LaVigne, tourism coordinator.
Launch will be from the Twin Falls Flowage boat launch.
More than $3,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded, based on the 50- boat maximum.
Entry forms and rules are available online at www.ironmountain.org, on the calendar of events page or call (906) 774-2945 for a form to be mailed.
Cost is $80 per team and includes dinner after the event. "Big Fish" and a 50/50 drawing are additional opportunities to win.
Launch will be at 7 am, with fishing ending at 2:30 p.m.. The public is welcome to view the weigh-ins.
This year's event will be a fundraiser with proceeds donated to Buckmasters.
