Ghosts, goblins ready to stalk the night for Halloween treats

IRON MOUNTAIN - Area communities have established Halloween trick or treat times for young ghosts and goblins in Dickinson, Iron, Florence, and Marinette counties.

Iron Mountain, Norway, Felch, Florence County, Niagara, Dunbar, and Iron County trick or treat times are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Halloween - Monday, Oct. 31.

Kingsford and Breitung Township trick or treat times are 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

Norway and Waucedah Township have set trick or treat hours for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31.

North Central School District hours are 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Halloween.

Marinette County, Pembine and Beecher youngsters will trick or treat from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30.

Goodman and Armstrong Creek hours are 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, and Wausaukee times are 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 .

Armstrong Creek hours are 4 p.m to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.

Several Halloween parties have also been planned.

On Saturday, the Niagara Area Emergency Unit will host a kids Halloween Party at the Niagara High School gym. The party will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Costumes are encouraged.

The American Legion Post No. 50 in Iron Mountain will have a Halloween party on Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.

The First Presbyterian Church of Kingsford will hold the seventh annual Fall Festival featuring "The Great Tomb Raid" on Sunday, Oct. 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. featuring bounce houses, games, drama, food and candy.

Fall Fun Fest will be held at Crossroads Church in Beecher on Wednesday, Oct. 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Fall Fun Fest features more than a dozen carnival-style games, plus face-painting, hot apple cider, hot chocolate, popcorn, and candy for every child present.

The Floriano-Stecker American Legion Post No. 340 of Hermansville will pass out bags of treats on Monday, Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall.

Amasa Museum will host a Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. There will be a costume contest at 4:30 p.m. Children can bob for apples and enjoy cake and punch free of charge.

Iron County's Mansfield Township will sponsor the annual Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 29. All township residents, guests and local ghosts and goblins are invited to the party that starts at 6:30 p.m.
