IRON MOUNTAIN - A 54-year-old man is dead following a traffic crash on M-69 near M-95 in Sagola Township on Saturday.
Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post said the driver of a pickup truck traveling eastbound on M-69 crossed the centerline into the path of a westbound logging truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead.
A 54-year-old man was killed when his pickup truck slammed into the path of a logging truck, shown here. The crash occurred on M-69 on Saturday afternoon. Authorities have not released names of those involved in the crash.
The driver of the logging truck was treated at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred at about 2:20 p.m. Saturday.
Assisting at the scene were the Michigan State Police Motor Carrier Unit, the Dickinson County Sheriff Department, the Sagola Township Fire Department, STAR Ambulance, Felch Fire Department and U.P. Environmental Services.
Michigan State Police is expected to release more information on the crash later today.
