IRON MOUNTAIN - Hall Orthodontics Bantams have joined the 41 Lumber Pee Wees as Dickinson Amateur Hockey Association teams with 2012 state championships.
Hall swept all five tournament games in convincing fashion, outscoring their opponents 51-9.
In the round-robin games, Hall defeated Big Rapids 11-2, tourney host Lapeer 15-0 and Livonia 8-3 to claim first place in the National Division.

In the semifinals, Hall rocked American Division runner-up Nitro Hurricanes 9-2.
Hall captured the state crown with an 8-2 victory over Tawas.
Reid Pietila, captain, earned the most valuable player award during the five-game Michigan Amateur Hockey Association state tournament.
Pietlia was the top scorer of the tournament with 12 goals and 7 assists for 19 points on the weekend. His hat trick in the first period of the championship game helped Hall capture the state title.
Pietila, a Kingsford Middle School eighth grader, is the son of Kathleen and Michael Pietila of Iron Mountain.
The MVP award is the second of Pietila's career. He was also named the MVP of the 2008 state tournament as a Squirt.
