DITOR:As a follow up to my previous letter, just before Easter, our fearless leader signed what is known as the Peacetime War Powers Act.
In 1950, the War Powers Act was enacted to cover a possible nuclear attack on our nation or U.S. soil real or threatened. This act gives the government the right to declare Martial Law at any time and detain citizens without charges for whatever reason deemed necessary for their protection of our nation.
So I ask you, why is this needed right now in peacetime?
Why is the press not covering this?
This is especially alarming because of the recent raids by the DNR on pig farms in lower Michigan.
Is this a practice run for something? It's time to wake up and drink the coffee. Everyone should at least be alert to what is going on around them. This is a heads up.
