NORWAY - The Norway-Vulcan Area Schools Bands will present their annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Norway Fine Arts Center.
Featured on the program will be the Norway High School Jazz Band, Vulcan Middle School combined 7-8 Grade Band, and the Norway High School Concert Band.
The groups will provide a variety of pop and show tunes, and will have some special surprises in store for listeners, a spokesperson said.
"From music of the hottest 3D movie in theaters, to songs from the original "Footloose" motion picture, to music from great artists like Chicago, Carols Santana and Stevie Wonder, there will be something to entertain audience members from age 9 to 90.
Between groups, audience members will be entertained with several small ensembles that performed at this year's WSMA District and State Solo and Ensemble Festivals.
There is no admission charge for the program, but a free will offering will be accepted to help fund summer 2012 music camp and other summer music scholarships.
The NVAS Bands are under the direction of Greg Hunt.
