Foxy Loxy Ladies gather

IRON MOUNTAIN - The Foxy Loxy Ladies of the Red Hat Society will meet for lunch at noon on Wednesday, May 16 at the Elk's Lodge in Iron Mountain.

"Come to the prom and compete for having the ugliest prom dress, any color," said a member.

Telephone reservations are required by calling Barb at 774-1864 by Monday, May 14 with payment made at the door. All area Red Hatters and new members are invited.

Grace Baptist Food Pantry plans rummage sale May 25-26

IRON MOUNTAIN - Grace Baptist Food Pantry is having a huge rummage sale at City Park in Iron Mountain. The sale will be May 25-26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

They will have furniture, collectibles, tools, equipment, toys, household items, appliances, clothing and shoes for all, electronics, bikes, and much more. There will also be a bake sale and selling Sayklly's Yooper candy bars.

"There will be something for everyone." said an organizer.

This rummage sale is to raise money to help support the pantry so that they are able to continue helping those in need in the local communities To make an appointment for the pantry call (906) 282-4921.

Dance Friday at IM Senior center

IRON MOUNTAIN - A dance will be held at the Iron Mountain Senior Center on Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The theme for the night will be "Mexican Fiesta Night."

Bill Hassey will be the featured band. Band members include Bill Hassey, accordion and piano; Karen Hassey, bass guitar and keyboard; John Pitlik, lead guitar; Junior Ludwig, trumpet; Skip Wagner, accordion, trumpet and saxophone; Rick Deak, drums. All members provide vocals.

Admission is $8. Persons are welcome to bring beverages of their choice. The public is welcome.

The dance on May 25 will be the Hawaiian dance featuring Scott and Jim.
