EDITOR:I would like to add some additional information to the story that ran on May 9 about Andy Mattord, Ryan O'Dette, and Anthony Paupore.
I would call it "Living the dream."
These three young men are certainly doing that. Andy and Ryan are 2009 Kingsford High School grads and Anthony is a 2011 Kingsford grad.
The real common thread is they were all outstanding students in my Auto Technology classes at the Dickinson-Iron Tech Center.
Any of their accomplishments are well earned with dedication and hard work.
I was informed by Al Embry, spokesman for University of Northwestern Ohio, that these three young men set a record as being the first High School/Tech Center to have three students on the varsity race teams.
