EDITOR:A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure and honor to be invited to return to your community to speak at several area schools and at the Dickinson County Library. I travel the country frequently, speaking to children and adults about the benefits of reading and writing, and the fact that it's just plain fun.
Once again, it was a delight to meet so many wonderful people. The kids I met at the schools and the library were upbeat, polite and a joy to be around. Likewise, everyone I met all week were kind, helpful and appreciative.
You truly have a unique, closely-knit community, and I really was treated like "family."
Special mention to David and Elsa Brule, Ginnie Adams, and the Dickinson County Library and everyone in the Iron Mountain-Kingsford area who made my return visit so warm and memorable. Hope to return to your wonderful community again.
