EDITOR:The giving and caring citizens of Iron Mountain, Kingsford, and Norway were very generous support during the recent National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) annual food drive.
It is because of all of you that the truly needy people in our area will benefit. We collected a total of 12,660 pounds of food which went to the food pantries of the Caring House, Salvation Army, Grace Baptist Church, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Over 12,000 pounds of food means that we surpassed our previous best year by at least 50 percent.
This to me proves that we do indeed live in a very giving and caring community.
