EDITORThis is in response to Mr. Cliff Wollum's letter. Mr. Wollum, you came to my business for help in finding your bicycle.
I proceeded to look up the name of the individual that brought it in and sold it to try to help you.
From that point, I informed you that you would have to go to the IMPD and report the theft. I am not at liberty to give you the information of who any items are sold to.
That is up to the authorities to investigate and decide.
Contrary to your statement, I am not a "cash and carry" business.
I am required by law to get full ID on everything purchased by me and the names and addresses of anyone who purchases items from me.
I have been in business almost 25 years and I am sure if I did not follow the laws, I would not be allowed to operate.
I would recommend in the future, Mr. Wollum, that you research your statements before you accuse.
I expect an apology. It is not up to me to decide who the police prosecute and who they do not.
