IRON RIVER - Windsor Center in Iron River will be holding a rummage and bake sale in the lunchroom/commons area.
The event is planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
The sale is hosted by the Carrie Jacobs-Bond Quilters to raise funds to continue charity work.
Recently 13 specially made children's quilts, machine quilted and labeled, were delivered to the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield, Wis. Other larger quilts went to Iron County Dialysis Center in Crystal Falls and to returning veteran patients at Oscar G. Johnson Medical Care Facility in Iron Mountain.
The CJB Quilters also completed a queen quilt, "Windsor Wonder," done in black, white and red for the Iron County Museum drawing. Additional donations have supported Locker Lunches Program and Project Graduation.
The quilters meet Tuesday and Thursday at 208 Windsor Center to design, cut and sew projects or hold classes. Visitors are welcome from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
