NIAGARA, Wis. - Brittany Henrichs was recently awarded with the Hiram D. Fisher Masonic Scholarship for Niagara High School's Class of 2012.
The $1,000 scholarship was presented to her during the Niagara High School commencement ceremony.
The award is provided annually to high school seniors at Niagara High School and Florence High School by the members of the Hiram D. Fisher Masonic Lodge of Florence with additional matching funding provided by the Wisconsin Masonic Foundation. Those selected for the awards must have demonstrated community and religious involvement, leadership, and service and have exhibited potential for future achievement.
Henrichs is the daughter of Donna and Rick Henrichs. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated fifth in her class with a cumulative grade point average of 3.711. She participated in a number of extracurricular activities including forensics, one-act play, yearbook, Association of Student Artists, youth tutoring, and student council. She also was a member of both the homecoming and prom courts. Henrichs also has performed many hours of volunteer community service through the Youth Futures student organization and at her church.
This fall Henrichs will attend the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and begin her studies to become an elementary school teacher.
