IRON MOUNTAIN - The Iron Mountain Senior Center is hosting a "Funky Prom night" dance on Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Bill Hassey will be the entertainment for the evening. Members include Bill Hassey, accordion and piano; Karen Hassey, bass guitar and keyboard; John Pitlik, lead guitar; Junior Ludwig, trumpet; Skip Wagner, accordion, trumpet and saxophone, and Rick Deak, drums. All members provide vocals.
"This is a very lively and entertaining group of musicians," said a spokesperson.
The center will also be celebrating the 60th wedding anniversary of Melvin and Elaine Johnson.
Everyone is encouraged to come in their funkiest prom clothing.
Admission is $8. Persons are welcome to bring beverages of their choice. All ages are welcome. The center is located at 700 Crystal Lake Boulevard in Iron Mountain.
