Habitat for Humanity presents Bulldog Awards

July 23, 2012
The Daily News

KINGSFORD - Habitat for Humanity Menominee River is very fortunate to have many dedicated volunteers that make it successful.

The Bulldog award is given each year to one or two volunteers who have demonstrated a significant contribution over a number of years. The Bulldog awards, this year, were presented to Albert Santoni and Bill Pfeiffer.

Albert has exited the Habitat Board of Directors after six years; however, he will maintain his membership of the Construction Committee.

He has led improvements in the Habitat homes curb appeal, quality, energy star compliance, green build certification, and handicapped visit ability.

Bill, core crew leader and construction committee coordinator, builds with his core crew, on Thursdays and Fridays at the 508 Adams St. house in Crystal Falls. Bill has stated in the past "a typical core crew will have at least five members," so we are currently seeking additional members to help build with us.

If you and/or your family members are interested in volunteering, we would love to work with you.

Please call the Habitat office, at (906) 779-5377, if you are interested in joining our volunteers.
