EDITOR:Several weeks ago I had a close call with a health issue.
Internal bleeding that was very excessive and I was taken to DCMH emergency department. My son was with me when I passed out and he picked me up and put me in the car and proceeded to the hospital.
He called ahead to the emergency department and they were ready when I got there. I was immediately cared for and was sent to the intensive care unit where I received instant care from Dr. Ken, RN Andy and RN Pam.
These individuals radiated confidence which in turn comforted me. And now the rest of the story. I'm a Crohn's victim and I was bleeding internally and the loss of blood was my dilemma. I received four units of blood which saved my life. I thank God for all the blood donors.
