Oak Crest golf:Men's tourney

NORWAY - Chad Tirschel will return to defend his championship in the Oak Crest Golf Course men's club championship.

Tourney takes place Saturday and Sunday.

Soccer:Twisters tryouts

NIAGARA, Wis. - Northern Twisters fall soccer will conduct tryouts from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, and Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Riverside Park.

Participants (high-school age boys and girls) must attend both nights. For questions, contact Dave Rock at 715-531-8628.

Packers:'Family' sellout

GREEN BAY - All available tickets, nearly 70,000, for "Packers Family Night" have been sold. This year's sellout marks the sixth time in its 12 years the event has sold all available tickets.

... Karen Lasater of Pound is the 1,000,000th visitor to the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame. She received a football cupcake and a custom jersey (HOF 1M Fan) from Packers team president Mark Murphy.

Bocce:'Church' Aug. 5

IRON MOUNTAIN - The 20th annual Church Open Bocce Tournament, a fun activity of camaraderie and competition, will start at 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at City Park's Ray Mariucci Bocce Complex.
