FLORENCE, Wis. - Wisconsin First Lady Tonette Walker's "Walk with Walker" event that was scheduled for Aug. 15 in Florence County has been postponed due to her recent appendectomy.
The walk will be rescheduled at a later date.
Walker spokeswoman Julia Lund says that Tonette Walker was released from the hospital on Thursday and was resting at home. She had the surgery on Wednesday after being admitted the night before with stomach pains.
