IRON MOUNTAIN - A male and a female are lodged in the Dickinson County Jail on home invasion charges following an investigation into a breaking and entering at an east-side Iron Mountain residence.
Lt. Ed Mattson of the Iron Mountain Police Department said the breaking and entering was reported to police July 9. The break-in was discovered after the homeowner returned home from vacation.
Mattson said a significant amount of jewelry was missing. After a lengthy investigation, numerous pieces of the stolen jewelry have been recovered and two suspects have been apprehended.
During the evening hours on Saturday, Iron Mountain Police Department arrested a 25-year-old female from Iron Mountain after a traffic stop. The 25-year-old female is lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Center and charged with home invasion, second degree and receiving and concealing stolen property.
Bond at arraignment was set at $20,000 cash/surety.
During the early morning hours on Sunday, officers from the Iron Mountain Police Department located a 42-year-old male suspect, who is from Iron Mountain, at a motel in Norway.
With assistance from the Norway Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff's Department, officers took the 42-year-old male into custody without incident.
He is also lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Center charged with home invasion, second, receiving and concealing stolen property as well as a habitual offender, third notice.
Bond at arraignment was set at $40,000 cash/surety.
